    Hello.

I started planting in my tank 2 Thursday ago. I used Masilea hirsuta as my carpet plant. But it seems the plant is growing upwards. I am not sure if it's transitioning from emerge growth to submerged growth. Maybe it means there's not enough light?

Also I didn't remove the emersed leaves. Should I remove them all or wait for new growth before doing this?

    thank you very much

For marsilea if they grow upwards usually is the lighting problem, too much lighting also cause them to get algae on their leaf and leaves stick with black kind of algae(could be BBA) also, not an ideal plant for carpet plant. Maybe you want to share with us your setup and some pictures will be great.

Bro blue, saw this thread. The marsilea I got from you have spread nicely among the glosso from you as well Luckily, no algae so far, maybe because I planted them under the shades of the java ferns

Thanks bro, actually, they grow short and only 1 leaf mostly. Quite nice to have to complement the glosso
