As mentioned in the announcement, only the under water portions of open top tanks will be judged. Vivarium, etc are open top tanks.

We have this restriction to discourage people from joining AQ just to compete for a chance to win the prizes and also to be fair to long standing contributors to AQ. We will decided near the deadline, on a case by case basis, for new members who are unable to PM. We will make the decision based on the new members' actions during the qualifying period.

In the mean time, new members without PM can register by using the Contact Us form at the bottom of each AQ page. Select "AQ-ADA Aquascaping Contest Registration" as the subject.

Anyway I did not join AQ just to participate (i did not even know about it). I joined AQ cos a friend recommended me to this friendly and informative forum to learn more info about the hobby. Newbie tank submit will get laughed at or not?

its a chance to showcase your tank. don't worry about it.
Everyone is learning here, no matter how long you are into the this hobby.
So just submit your tank photo. and long forward to see you there at the party and exchange pointers with one another.

uhhmm...for me, I joined our forum for learning and improving my aquascape skills, however I'd like to see my rank here AQ-ADA and in IAPLC contest 20010 although I havent tried before . Hopefully it will not so bad...

May I ask a question? Am I qualified to join this contest? I'm interested in those prize, too

You are certainly qualified to entered. But you will have to pay for the shipping of the prizes to your home from Singapore if you win. I seem to have neglected mentioning that part.
