i think its difficult to grow them in dry start method. if you try on a small pieace, it tends to loose water very fast. its better for you to use those gel type superglue you get from daiso and stick them at the back.
Hi all,
I'm trying to get some pellia to grow on of my driftwood, but as it's difficult to tie it down (irregular shaped wood boggles the mind) I am thinking of growing it emersed first. Does anyone here know if mini pellia can be grown out using Dry Start Method, or do I have little choice but to try and tie?
Thanks in advance,
Sam

Don't think DSM will work since mini pellia has not roots.
Gel superglue's the way to go!

Actually you can just tied it with fishing line go around the mini-pelia on the DW a few times. It's okie if you ionly see the fishing line and not the mini-pelia. The mini-pelia will grow from there if the condition is right. I suggest not to use glue.
Fishing line not recommended actually because it might cut the leaves. Here is a thread with step by step of tying mini pellia on rocks!
