I was at Gen X over the weekend and saw their moss. Can't remember if it's taiwan or x'mas but they were grown submerged in a tub. Don't think the shop has airconditioning. No chiller either. I wondering if these moss have already acclimatized and will be easier to grow at home.?

Has anybody tried the moss from Gen X before? How's the result?

    the moss is xmas moss.

some of it is in my tank, (which is a mix mash of 3-4 types of moss at the current moment)

you don't really need cold temp for moss.

if your temperature is high, you need more light (due to the plant metabolic rate being higher, it needs more nutrition)

my moss is grown under direct MH light.

I tot most ppl would say that cold temp is a 100% must for moss. But gen-X tank temp are all quite high but their moss still appeared so nice regardless taiwan/x-mas moss.

the 'sp' usual refers to the plant being a specie of the kind, but unknow name.

    Thanks loupgarou,

what's the temp. in your tank? I've been trying moss for 3 months and all die! So a bit scared to start again unless I'm sure my temp is ok.
