    Hi guys,
Saw that Teo's plants are actually grown on soil, not underwater, so i was wondering if it is possible to pluch those grass, ferns from the roadside, and plant it into my own tank. Can it be done?

Many plants used in the aquariums are actually margin plants. They grow near water edge. They can live both under and above water depending on the height of the waterline. Some of these plants will change form when submerged.

But note that most land plants cannot live submerged.

This is an act of unnatural growth. Water plants are made to grow in water – soil plants to grow in soil. Our conservative Asian society should not tolerate such perverse couplings!! Report them to the Moral Police!!!

Budak, he is an OUTLAW after all []

Yes you can pluck all those road side plants and plant them in your tank, no problem. Probably can last a day or so depedning on the type. [:] Some might even take weeks to rot

It depends on the plant you pick from the road side.

Road ditches with water often have plants, this would be a better place to look for aquatic plants.

You'll need to know your plants some tom pick out the good ones that will last underwater.

There's 2-3 species of hairgrass growing here.

Heh... I had a seedling from a nearby tree growing in my coral chip substrate of my Tanganyikan cichlid tank for weeks before I removed it. It probably would not have lasted for more then a few more weeks, but it wasn't exactly in bad shape when I removed it.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
