when I prune my tank of over grown plant, sometimes I kick up some dirt (I should say alot) from the gravel and these particle blur up my whole tank... The next day I will have some dead fishes (likely the tetras) Is this situation normal?

For several weeks now, some of my neons and cardinals are having abs problem... their abs are caving in! some don't eat and their body become so thin. I tried changing water, putting in Anti-internal bacteria, Anti Bacteria (OceanFree T1), anti external bacteria (OceanFree T2), anti gill disease(OceanFree T4)!

Fishes still sick! Grown up SAE about 2" also died!

Understand that friends come and go,

    limsteel,

Do not put so many type of medicine into the tank at one time. This will stress the sick fishes even more.

Did u change the water immediately and siphon out the dirt after disturbing the gravel? The foul water is probably the culprit.

I suggest you try other medication. ocean free ..well..not too many people have much success with it.
    -------------
suggest: waterlife (myxaxin, octozin ), interpet, even Azoo is quite good

My tank is about half yrs old... started in Jan 2003.

    too many meds... OK noted!

Ocean free, not effective... OK noted! but it was effective against white spot.

It's not always the case of deseases that kills your fishes. Nitrite spikes often happens after an uprooting job. So what you can do is that you do a heavier water change. If needed do another water change a few days later. Please do not add meds unecessarily esp. if you not sure what you are doing. You may do more harm than good.
    Cheers!!
