Had those polys for 4 years and that odoe pike for 2 years. The polys are great eaters, the odoe pike is gradually becoming seedier and off his food but still a great fish. The poly is about 45+cm each longer than my arm with my hand extended. I have a male on the left and once entertained notions that they may sucessfully breed.
One of the bulkiest in my group. Some aquarium is marketting similarly marked fish as ansorgii and selling it at a high price. It is different from my other endlicheri though, very much broader, you can see its profile in the 1st picture.
My latest aquisition, a fathead bichir or weeksii! Also most expensive as it is wild caught. It chewed through 2 plastic bag when the shop assistant was packaging it Promises to be a monster fish in making.

How long do they take to grow to that size? Are they active swimmers if the tank is a 3 footer? Or do they need a much bigger tank? Those tanks I've seen them kept in (in LFSs) tend to be small and they just seem to stay there without moving.
