The 2nd edition, AAC 2010 opens on March 1st and deadline on May 30th. Result out by June 21st.
Contest Guideline:
1. Who can participate, and how?
Everybody not belonging to the jury can participate in any of the categories specified of AAC, with a maximum of 3 tanks per category.
The participating photos as well as the tanks have to be in the possession of the participant. The data given regarding the tanks have to be truthful.
2010 - Only may register layouts presented in previous editions if its evolution is appreciable. Under no circumstances will accept images already recorded in other aditions.
2. Categories
The contest is divided in three categories:
- Miniature tanks (tanks between 0 and 60 liters)
- Medium-sized tanks (tanks between 61 and 250 liters)
- Large tanks (tanks over 250 liters)
3. Photos
The photos have to comply with the following clauses:
- At least 1 photo, made by the participant, has to be entered.
- Photographs submitted must overcome a quality filter and must match the requested format
- Photo edition is permitted if it does not distort the tank reality.
- Photo collage not allowed
- Fuzzy, blurry or bad-quality pics may not be entered in this contest.
- Minimum resolution: 1024 x 768 px
- Maximum size: 5 Mb
- Admissible formats: jpeg, jpg
4. Classification
The classification that will be listed will be that of the 100 tanks with the most points. The 10 best tanks will become a part of our "Hall of Fame".
5. Calendar
Start: March 1
Registration deadline: May 30
Collocation: June 1 to 10
Deliberation: June 10 to 20
Classification: June 21
6. Prizes
Acuavida.com assume the costs of the shipping of prizes whose amount is less than 50 €.
If exceed that amount, the difference must be paid by the winner, paid before sending.

Grading Guideline:
Creativity: (Max 30 points)
- New or innovative aspects
Design (Max 30 points)
- Proper placement of the plants
- Hardscape, trunks and decoration adequately chosen.
- Fluid Design
- Balance in shapes and colors.
Conditions of plants: (Max 20 points)
- General Health (color, vitality, etc.) of plants
Balance between the animals and the layout design: (Max 10 points)
- Matches the design of color, size, method of swimming and the ecology of fish or invertebrates
Final evaluation: (Max 10 points)
- Age of Aquarium vs growth
- The Photo
