the substrate that you used is most probably GEX. The things you have listed seems nothing's wrong.
So what exactly happened to the hairgrass?
Hi all, my previous post got deleted. Not sure why.
Anyway, to those helpful people that were helping me, Thanks! And here is my problem again.
Cant grow HG. My specs are
1) 2 ft tank
2) Bright plant light (recommended by C32
3) C02 at 2bps
4) Branded substrate (forgot name, packaging is green+red with shrimps)
5) Weekly doses of Floruish comprehensive fertiliser/potassium/nitrogen
6) weekly change 1/3 water
7) Strong fan (but temperature still hover around 28-30)
Is anything wrong?
Thanks
Marc
PS: Admin, if you need to move or delete my thread, please at least inform me? Thanks.

It slowly turns yellow.....and derooted and float up.......it is just now growing or spreading. tried this again n again.......even adding ice cutes to cool down the water.........nothing helps.
are you planting them in clumps? you will need to spread them out into fewer plants. Is the area a dead spot?
The role of master and servant begin to cloud in the water..
I tried in clumps as well as sparsely, all areas the same .......
but so far i heard its cos of temperature. C328 uncle also say the same......28 C cannot work with hairgrass. True??
i got hair grass growing in 32 degrees water outdoors. so you say true?
My hairgrass having been growing in 30 degree water..even in low tech or high tech. the only time they're not growing well is due to the lack of nutrients in the soil
The role of master and servant begin to cloud in the water..
hmmm.......so you mean i have to plant fertiliser stick into the soil? There are quite alot of decomposition material in the soil thou......even tiny earthworms in it.
Come to think of it, the only thing i didn't do is to put a layer of fertiliser before the substrate. But wat i heard is the GEX substrate is good enough, no need fertiliser. And i m adding FLOURISH comprehensive fertiliser twice a week.
Is that enough?
Yes it is happen to be the house rule. We did not check 100%, it just that if we happen see it either fix it or let the post owner know. Only target sms lingo not grammer.

i could only speculate: the hairgrass is been grown emersed? You gotten them in pot or on those white wool?

Why dont you take a picture of your whole setup? Guessing wont help you at all. How is your tank water parameters, such as PH, KH etc... Btw what bright light you are using? T8, T5, PL etc....?

can be more specific about your lighting instead of bright plant light

It would be the same reason you don't go to foreign sites to ask for help and they reply you in languages and short forms which you hardly or don't understand at all.
For your tank and hairgrass, you've lacked a important factor to say.
Its the lighting period. Most plants have a good temperature range they can adjust to. Maybe the hairgrass owners can start by telling the treadstarter how much is theirs and the lighting they use.
PS: i am growing glosso indoors & outdoors they look quite different to say.

I have my lights turned on 10 hours a day and hardly any algae.
It depends on the balance of factors in your tank.
Other than hairgrass, do the other plants in your tank have the same problem?
Ultimately a picture will help.
My lights on 8hrs a day in total break up into 2 x 4hrs with 4hrs break. Little algae.
I have 2 x 36w PL on my tank one is 12000k and another 6700k hairgrass grow like crazy

JJ
