    Hi guys,

I've noticed these on 2 of my Ember Tetras... so far it isn't spreading or anything, but the look of it gives me the creeps, as though there's an internal parasite inside them. Here's one of the fishes in a badly taken photo:

Definately not internal bleeding... it looks like its insides are blackening, and stuff is sticking out from its body. It's like some form of cancer or parasite...

This looks like a nematode worm parasite.
You probably have lost or euthanized these few infected specimens by now. Big parasite in a small Tetra species =death. Treatment is useless for such advanced cases.
I used to raise Ember Tetras by the hundreds just so I could set up a mass display cheaply.
    Very nice species.
