Please try to refrain from using the shortforms and grammar commonly used in SMS. We have a myraid of members and not all of them are familiar the "SMS language".

Besides, the text length limit in here is way, way higher and assuming you're using a proper keyboard, you don't need to use shortforms.

As for the yamatos... what fishes do you keep with them? They could be hiding from predatory fishes. While they are not strictly nocturnal, I've noticed some of mine being more active during the dark hours.

Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

1)Cant be of e temperature cos it's 27.0-27.5 degree celsius.

2)Predator...hmmm...yes, it could be cos i just introduce a Betta Full Moon(Female) into e tank. But i did observe for hours, e betta is not of any nuisance to e livestock nor post any thread, maybe after e lights are off e betta disturb e yamato shrimps.

3)The yamato shrimps are not newly introduce into e tank, they've been there for almost 2 months. Ph=7, Kh=4, Gh=Didnt buy a tester yet

4)I did clean the tank thoroughly on last sun(08jun03), rescape the look of my tank, trimmed e plants etc.

as what simon suspected, are those yamatos and not malayans?

i have both in my tank and the yamatos are usually out in the open scavaging for food while the malayans always hide among the plants.

bro mandz, it's comfirmed Yamato Shrimps, they been with me for almost 2mths, used to be out scavaging for food, no matter lights on or off. Noticed this happened only after my rescaping of e tank last sun plus i cleaned e tank thoroughly, trimmed all plants, left only healthy ones, also add a Female Full Moon Betta in.

Other than english, I think we should refrain from using capital lettered sentences. It might appear hostile or sarcasm to some.

If you have a spare tank, try taking the betta out or get a breeding net/barrack and separate the betta for a while. See how the shrimps react.

I seriously doubt that your "correct" version is acceptable too.
    It should be atleast:
Is anyone here able to explain why my shrimps are always in the hiding behind the rocks when they should be working on my plants? What kind of approach should I take to rectify such situations?

But i never bother to speak guud powderful england too... most of e time. [] []

Ok, no need to whack new2planting anymore... I think he got the idea.

    new2planting,

Do I sense some sarcasm in your post where you corrected yourself? Don't get offended, we just want to keep the forum easy to read and relevant to the hobby. Like I said before, not all forumers are familiar with, or fond of SMS-speak, etc. If it becomes prevalent in the forum, such forumers will find it very irritating to have to keep re-reading everything and thus find the forum less enjoyable and may stop coming back.

We do not require perfect English, just commonly understandable English. We do allow some SMS-speak or singlish or other mangled English forms in the Chit Chat forum and in the occasional irrelevant postings.

The mods just want to keep the forum useful and relevant to all forumers.

what they are saying basically is Observation to summarise. I always observe them daily once in the morning and once in the evening. They will recognise you and be familiar with you.

One thing I noticed. When my dad or mom tries to feed the fishes, the fishes really bo hee-u man. Ha Ha....

My Harlequinns are like hungry ghosts thou, just need someone to walk pass the tank and the whole school swims with the shadow.

Sometimes when I'm rearranging/pruning my plants the whole school of them will come near and even peck the hairs on my hand.
