How old is the setup? Guppy is normally very hardy, something probably wrong with your water parameter
recently whenever i come back from school, ill notice 1 or 2 dead guppies in my 2ft tank. i seriously dont know what went wrong... today was the worst, i found 4 dead guppies in a bushy plant as i was squinting really hard into it.
any advise on how to prevent this from happening again? is it something to do with the water or maybe the food?
its kinda depressing to see dead guppies floating around whenever i get back since i only decided to keep them as a way to destress from the busy A level curriculum . looking at them swimming around has this odd calming effect on me.haha
thanks in advance !

Hmmm i just did a full water change a week ago... Should I do it again?
have you fully cycle your tank? that is why I'm asking how old is your setup.
FULL water change not reccomended. Removes too much beneficial bacteria and if not dechlorinated properly kills bacteria. Maybe ammonia spike caused by decaying plant or dead fish

hmmm sorry abit of a noob here, what do you mean by cycle your tank?
oh i asked the fish shop uncle and he said it could be due to overfeeding, which im very guilty of!
kk thanks jiajuen!, i did consider that factor too, so i only did a 25% water change with aged waterrr!
In short you need to run your filter for couple of weeks before introduce your fish. This will allow the beneficial bacteria to colonize the filter media. This bacteria will help break down ammonia which is toxic to less toxic cousin.
I assume you're rather new to fish-keeping yea.
If you're looking to keep them properly I suggest investing in at least a hang-on filter or an internal filter with ceramic rings and sponge inside. A small one will cost you about $10-$20. Try the brand Ocean Free.
Also the way you introduce them into the tank might be wrong. What I do is to float the bag in the tank for about 15 minutes, after which I open the bag and pour in a little water from the tank into the bag that is still floating in the tank. Leave the bag and repeat again after about 15 minutes. When the bag is almost full you can let the bag submerge and the guppies to swim out of their own accord.
Full water changes are not advisable. Feed less. Invest in a couple of cheap plants like Java Fern.
The area you are staying in might have heavily chlorinated water (I'm at AMK, I can do 50% water changes straight from the tap with no problems) so you're on the right path about using aged water.
