After placing a new piece of bogwood log in the tank last night, this morning when I looked at the log, there were white cobweb-like growth appearing in patches all over the log. Anyone knows what this is? Insects? Mould? I bought the log from Teo's farm, and it already has java moss growing on it.

This tank is a brand new set up, i.e. this is only the second day after adding base-fert, gravel and plants etc.

    Thanks for reading...

I also got it in a log for my office tank but then again, I noticed my single oto eating it. So I ignored it [:0]

Thanks. So hopefully after I introduce fish the white patches will be eaten up. But I wonder what it is... anyone has any idea? After the fish and shrimps ate the white stuff did it come back again?
