Hi Fuu
How did you plant the riccia for the foreground?...did you use any wire mesh?....certain kinds of wire mesh will react with water (especially if acidic) releasing certain chemicals which are toxic to most shrimps

Hi David,
I tied the riccia to the wire mesh that i bought from Nature and my pH is btw 6.0 to 7.0. I bought another few shrimps in the late afternoon and they are all dying after 1 hr when I add them to the tank.

what are the other inhabitants in your tank?
did you setup your tank recently?

I once planted new crypts and my shrimps died. I suspected that the LFS where the plants came from used snail killer or other shrimp-unfriendly meds/chems in their plant tank.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
Hi Fuu
did you aclimatizied your yamatoes before placing them in your tank? If you have check your water for NO2 and NO3. If your NO2 is zero and NO3 is at acceptable levels, remove your wire mesh before your adding in yamatoes again.
