    hello fellas,

i just started my planted tank on saturday. have this query as to what to put in the foreground? what i mean is to lay a "carpet" on top of the sand so that it won't look barren...

    merci,
    albert

depending on preferences, u got a choice of E. tennellus, E. quad., dwarf sag, glosso, riccia, hairgrass, APP, C. wenditti, C. parva and many more.. so perharps u like to give us some details on yr tank specs. and it is easier for us to recommend/suggest to u

side track a bit, just planted some hairgrass...some turned brown on me already...is this normal as in they're adjusting to the new environment?

    Hijack!

    Anyway, 15 inch, long?
How about E.tenellus? Or maybe even java moss tied to pebbles.

Can some1 tell me where to get C. parva besides going down to the farms?

I just dumped all my riccia - no time to maintain and all of them floated to the surface after 1+ mth.

Dwarf sags are also too pervasive for me - I was horrified when i saw my driftwood coming loose when i pulled out some sags on Sunday. Besides, some of them are beginning to shoot upwards (20+cm), making them look like out-of-place background plants.

    Thanks in advance!
