I've never heard of a sulfur denitrator being used on a freshwater tank, probably because it's easier to just do water changes, or plants into the aquarium.
Saltwater changes are a lot more involved / expensive.
That's what I thought too as the sulphur build up could do more harm than good. A water change is more safer than a sulphur denitrator, even if there's a lot of fish.

Nah, I still advocate water change. Run it through the ro/di unit and store the water for water change. I am afraid of the sulphur presence in the water column, which might be harmful to your collection.
