    Hi,

I am learning to setup my first 2" plant tank recently,
realised there are many snails, some white with hard shell
and some bigger in size with brown shell.

Can anyone teach me how to get rid of those snails and save my plant ?

    Much appreciated

    Rich

put a puffer fish into your tank and it should do the job

    Hold your horses!

Snails are not that bad. They help to control algae in the tank and if you keep the glass clean of algae, you'll hardly see them on it.

The smaller snails will not eat your plants, except the dead/dying portions of it. They help clear leftover food and small dead fishes too. The ones describe, if the same as mine, will not eat healthy plants.

Personally, I don't mind having them in my tank unless there is an infestation. In that case, I'd remove what i can see and figure out what's feeding them. Fixing that will reduce and control the population.

I'm not too sure if the smaller puffers can handle the large brown ones.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
