was chased around. So far I don't see any trouble between my ram & my cherry shrimps, yamato shrimps.

In the past, I've seen my rams hunt my malayan shrimps, no matter where they shrimps hid, the rams would seek them out. So your cherry shrimps might become tasty snacks for your rams.
rams look fierce.can put together with tetras?
From my experience, rams are actually peaceful enough, until they see a stranger of the same species. From timid, they will then raise their fins fully and go into 'defensive mode'.----------------

My rams were really timid for the first 2 months in the tank, then they started coming out for hand feedings. THey are so easily scared; just a little sudden movement and they dart back behind the driftwood.
I wished they would do something about the snails, but they left those intact, and my yamato population was also left alone. Once in awhile my guppies have torn fins, so I wonder if its the work of the rams. Still, they left the tetras alone.
sadly, both rams are gone now (after 1yr plus)
I find mine very cute leh ...----------------

notebook, rams, like all cichlids (and humans) have individual personalities: some are peaceful, others fierce. I think they generlaly are ok with other fishes, but MAY bother or eat shrimps. Please don't, however, blame your fish if they don't "behave" as they are following their nature.
ha ha dun worry i never blame any fish.----------------
