Hi,
I would trim the hairgrass to encourage runners. I think it's normal to have them melt as they transition from emersed to submersed. You should also see some new sprouts coming up. Just be patient

Hello. I recently started a low tech planted tank with specs:
Specs:
Planted 4 days ago on Saturday
Gex 'S' Size 32 x 19 x 24.5cm
Gex substrate (the light green one)
11W Compact PL Light raised 2" above water surface with 10hr photo period daily
Ferts:
Initial Lushgro and Lushgro Micro following labelled dosage on Sunday
Daily Seachem Excel
Livestock:
10 Cherry Shrimps
2 Otos
I planted the Hairgrass following some advice read from the net, trimming the stems and roots to encourage growth I separated them to about 6-7 stalks and planted them approximately 3cm apart. I bought them in pots from Colorful aquarium.
I noticed that some of the hairgrass have melted and most of the remaining ones have yellowish tips.
Here are the pictures:
1. Melted Hairgrass
2. Yellowish Tips
3. My glossos on the other hand are doing pretty decent, sprouting runners already
Could the melted/melting hairgrass be damaged during planting?
What should I do?
Should I trim the tips or wait it out?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

your hairgrass will grow soon, as long as no bottom disturbing fish, temp low enough...
