Hi guys & sifu out there...Just want to share about my zebra pleco (L46) breeding. I was quite lucky i can breed this pleco without any colony just a breeding pair. Lucky didn't sell it last time...

1st batch (February) = spawn 7 tails die all because lack of experience.

2nd batch (May) = spawn 5 tails die 1 tail, now got 4 tails now.

I have some question to all Sifu out there:
1) What can i give to the fry eat just after the sack egg york?
2) Can i put together with the parents back?

hi bro! my zebra pleco bred too, i have like 15 of them for this second brood. for my first brood, i left them in the tank together with the parents.

7 of them managed to make it but one got stuck at the filter and passed on. i believe they are able to consume normal canivores tabs.

but just in case, i would advice some live leafy plants for them to feed on just in case they starve.

Congrats bro...thanks for your information, i think i will try to put back together with the parents. But i scare the parents will eat them alive because those fry is separate from their parents awhile & the zebra is carnivore type.

since you already took them out then don't put them back in. just give ample aeration and feed them regularly.

What bro riltz say is true. No point pushing them back as the result may not be well expected. If it's your 1st time breeding pleco I would suggest you leave it with their papa.. They do a better job then we as we couldn't watch it 24hr a day. The parent guard it till about half an inch before the tiny one start to explore out.
