Seachem Alkaline Buffer

Hi all.

I am trying to use Seachem Alkaline Buffer to raise my pH.

I've tried the following to methods.

1. Add the powder directly into the tank.
2. Mix the powder in a pail and then pouring the water into the tank.

I noticed that the pH will initially go up but the next morning and thereafter, the pH drops to what it was before I added the buffer.

Can anyone advise how can I effectively raise the pH with this product?

you know what is your KH of your water?

I used a test strip. The kh measured 3-6 dkh.
