    Hi,

I'm specifically checking if Yamato shrimps eat BBA?

Also, can SAE do the same job?
    Cheers

    Hi CBY

Yamatoes does not eat BBA but what they can do for you is to eat leftover food and death leaf material. SAE on the other hand only eats young BBA and not the big ones and that is provided if the SAE is not overfed.

Currently the Cigar fish is the one to have to control BBA

yah I am confused, I have called it hair algae as they are actually very dark green, but some pictures I have seen says it is BBA. In my opinion BBA is those short stubby ones, not those long furry type?

My hairgrass is infested with these long furry stuff, but can see the yamatoes are eating them.

BBA are those short ones without "branching".

Green algae are those with lots of "branching" like web. Those IMO is more difficult to get rid of compared to BBA.

BC, those flossy green algae? Once had those infecting my moss, did a 1-week blackout along with 6 hungry pgymy pencilfish Nannostomus marginatus, squeaky clean when the lights came on.

    ["] Ooo..algae? BC, describe leh.

I see two kinda, one that is like one patch of sai like that, like fuzed together one whilst the other kind sticks along the glass...hairy hairy one. Hee Hee..haven't got the fury ball type one yet.

How do you in your context describe the above two kinds? I was previously too shy to ask. Hee Hee...
