    Hi,

    X-pert help needed!

I noticed recently my betta, a crown tail(quite long), doesn't flare its fin as beautifully as before. The fins, especially the tail is not fully open, even when it tried to flare when placed beside another male betta, Noticed what looks like little bumps on the tail fins.

Is this condition a sickness? ..and are there any remedy to it.

CT bettas need more tank space for it to be in its full glory. Did you put it in a small tank?

    Joe--

Betta is a 6inch cube tank, bought from ikea.

Just found on the anti-ich medication that closed-fins is listed as well, I did a water change and add in 2 drops along with 2 tea spoon of salt, think it will help?

heyo fei mao.. i am no x-pert either. but i have similar experience b4. this is known as clamp - tail. this type of condition is not disease or anyting contagious. it is due to ur water condition. mayb u haf juz changed alot of water? or juz introduce it to ur new tank? if ur water condition is not to his "liking" he wud be VERY stress and his clamp-tail will not go off. it is not fatal. but will take some time to wear off too... mine took like a whole 3 - 4 weeks b4 it regains it former glory. in any case, i tink there are medications available in the market.

aiya dun worry lar.. give it time to get cosy den mayb it will b a-ok.. []
