Have some nice mosses to show, spent many many months getting them to adapt to growing submersed.

    Has been a challenge though.

One of this is called Zipper moss. A sp from the Fissidens family. Interesting moss, after research online, found that it is quite sought after overseas and relatively rare and pricey!

Its was pure luck that i managed to harvest them from the wild and convert it to grow successfully in submersed form. Very beautiful moss that resembles a zip

heres some pics of the moss (some are from the net), enjoy..

another type of moss resembles hyophila involunta (star moss), but its not that because i have a species of it growing submersed for a long time in my tank.

So the name of the moss still unidentified, but nonetheless managed to cultivate it.

    heres some pics of it.

Fissidens zippelianus ( Zipper Moss) looks so beautiful!!

The second pic - are you sure its Hyophila involunta and not Plagiomnium trichomanes?

    Thanks for sharing the pics.

    Cheers

Thanks bro! i usually observe mosses wherever i go, any country.. common looking ones i usually dont bother, but sometimes will come across unique shaped ones so ill just get a bit of it and try to cultivate them.

Currently got two more from Australia then im cultivating, been about 1.5 months and its doing fine. I also working on SG Fissidens, somewhere between Us fissidens and Mini fissidens. But its super slow growing as of now.. You will need a whole lot more patience for this one.
