Nutrafin Plus Tap Water Dechlorinator

Hi guys! I just bought the above brand of water dechlorinator for my tank. Problem is, my water in the tank starts to turn light brown. Could this be due to overdose of the dechlorinator? It says 5mL/5Ga of water. So assuming i change 10% of water then i will use 0.5mL of the solution each water change?

It means if you change 5 GAL of water, add 5 ml of anti-chlorine. It should not alter the color of your tank H20
