    Hi everyone,

I have bought a pair of blue diamond 2 inches and only upon arrival when i realize one side of it's gill plates is flaring.

Not sure if this is gill fluke. No rubbing or darting around of any sort. Could it be injury during netting/transportation?

    Advise needed, thanks!

Sorry, can't help much. I had 1 discus like that for many years, tried all sorts of medication like Prazi-Pro, Japanese Yellow powder, PP w/o much effect. Anyway, it didn't infect the rest in the tank, so I just let it be. I also have 2 discus fry that are like that, I just separate it from the rest of the good fry and put together with the stunted ones, they are all fine too, looks like it is not infectious, but lets see what the experts say.

    It might be birth defect.

Look like it is short gill, and can't be held. I have one like that last time also.
