    is dwarf hairgrass the shortest grass avaliable in singapore or are there others?

    Hairgrasses belong to the genus Eleocharis, of which there are some 150 species worldwide. I guess you are referring to the two common dwarf species E. acicularis or E. parvulus.

    I am sure that there are others both taller and shorter than these two, but either they do not grow underwater or nobody has tried growing them underwater. You are certainly welcome to try, though.

    I do know one hairgrass which is much bigger than the two common aquarium species. In fact, it tastes pretty good with yong tau hoo and in desserts....
