Alright! Finally a picture of the Coral Red Algae (nice name or not huh?) aka Mutant Ninja BBA. I even have a regular BBA next to it for comparison

The colour is accurate, the reddish thing below the algae is a Boraras brigittae so you can compare the red. Super red and fluffy man [:]

Vote whether this is real or a hoax!

go to my album for the full size picture and see the hairy strands for yourself! full resolution pic

I have these in my BBA infested tank too. Think there's some radioactive substance mutating BBA in Tampines. []

Hey Choy, all you have to do now is to make sure the red bba breeds true with no throw-backs. I see a business potential here...

How to breed bba huh...very simple, 3 easy to follow steps:

    1. Search "bba" under FAQ
    2. Read through what to do to solve bba problem
    3. Do exactly the reverse

You will have a tank blooming with bba in no time!

I think we should rename it RBA since BBA = black brush algae.

BTW, did you know that BBA is classify as "red algae"?

There are many very pretty species of red algae mainly SW but some larger leafy FW species as well.

My red algae, just took a picture of them inspired by this thread:
    http://www.deepforestaquatics.com/aq...c/redalgae.jpg

The color is may be even a bit brighter than you see it on that picture. The algae started as slimy grey transparent knots of strands. That is a type of algae that I usually see if the Nitrates get elevated about 10 for a while. Relatively easy to get rid of. In about a week after they appeared some of the strands turned red...

    See this thread.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
