Adding yeast will increase the rate of fermentation thus higher CO2 produce. But this will also cause fermentation to exhaust quicker too.
was making a DIY co2 bottle just now.so far so gd.can see the air in the airtube slowly pushing down to the airstone oredi.btw...i forgot...for faster production of bubbles is add more sugar or more yeast?and also i heard that adding more of one type will shorten the "lifespan" of the DIY co2.anyone can explain to me which is which?thanx a bunch!

Do take into consideration of concentration and toxity.
Too high concentration of sugar will inhibit the yeast. (Some fruits are preserved in heavy sugar syrup.)
As the yeast ferments the sugar, alcohol is formed. Yeast cannot survive in alcohol >11~12%. The fermentation will stop when the alcohol concentration reaced that level even when there is still sugar remaining.
