Hi, one bag of lonestar is roughly 20 litres (doesn't matter how much it weighs, you are trying to figure out by volume here).

    You tank has a surface area of 3.0 × 1.5 ft² = 90 × 45 cm²
so every inch of gravel (or water or whatever) of your tank has a volume of

    90 × 45 × 2.5 cc (cm&#179 or roughly 10 litres

so each bag of lonestar will fill your tank by 2 inches.

depending if you will have base fert or not, your gravel should be from 1 inch to 3 inches, perhaps sloping even. So just figure out the dimension of your gravel layer, and divide that by 20 litres so find out how many bags you need.

why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.
