100 fishes for a 2ft tank is really nuts. and if i were you, i wouldnt put all the fishes in at the same time. give your beneficial bacteria some time to adjust.

Fishes do grow up. 50 young cardinal tetras (2cm) will become 50 adult cardinal tetras (4cm) in a few months' time. Pls keep that in mind when you stock up your tank ... for the sake of your pet fishes.

Is it true you going to put in all those fishes into a 2ft tank? I hope it's a 2ft cube cos a standard 2ft tank can house the most 20 tetras comfortably regardless whether it's cardinal, lamp eyes, or neon. If you're going to put 100 tetras, you will still end up with 20 tetras or less (if you know wat I mean). Please reconsider.
    Cheers!!

Neons size also quite similiar to cardinal so might wanna think about how many before putting in. Anyway, think cardinal will have a better chance of survival coz the neons are mostly captive breed in medicine pools.

I bought my @ Clementi LFS(opposite Suzuki's showroom). 10 for $3. Its called Neptutian Aquarium or something like that. Also got $5 worth of java moss from him, alot sia. And its very fresh, kept in a tank @ 23 degrees.

bluezing, you have completely no idea on anything about keeping fishes.
ask any experience fish keepers out there, they would NEVER keep 100 lampeyes/cardinals in a 2ft.

i suggest you read some info on the net about the max fish load. apply the 1 fish per gallon rule.

    Bluezing,

Another suggestion : Increase your bioload slowly. Assuming that you are planning to add 50 tetras into your 2ftx2ftx?ft tank, add them in 2-3 batches to give your beneficial bacteria sufficient time to increase. Your fishes will thank you for your kindness.

"1 inch per gallon" rule is a good way to estimate your max bioload though it is safe to have a few more fishes in a heavily planted tank.
