    hi all,

anyone here did gut loading normal mealworm??

Currently, i am farming this guys (not the super or king ones), gutloading them with nutritional fish pellets, vegetables, high protein bread, oats etc............

    They become fat and juicy......

    I did experiment on this....

    1) fed my frogs(common feeder frog) with mealworms (without gutloading for a week. growth not much difference.

    2) Fed following week with heavily gut loaded meal worms....
can really see the difference in growth......

Just sharing..... and when this farmed guys turn to darkling beetle they considered very very nutritional too....

    Re: gut loading mealworm

that's usually what I do for mealworms and superworms, feed them with lots of carrots and fish pellets that contains beta carotene and oats... but my frogs refused to take the beetle... perhaps they don't like the taste of it...
