    May I know how to convert mg/l to ppm. Is mg/l also ppm. Sorry to ask stupid question. Newbies no choice. I use Diamond energy water system to change 40 to 50% of water to reduce clorine & phosphat level not dosing anti-clorine yet still trying. Suitable for drinking & any types of aquraium. Anyone use it before. Please advise[]

    I use RO water system for my tank as well. But in my case, my RO water has 0 hardness, hence I stopped using it bcoz I wanna maintain kh of 5.

    U may wanna check on your kh and gh values if you are using it. I dun think u will want too low a value for your kh rite?

    Cheers!

    Tap water have 0khD also but contain with clorine. Clorine harm to fish. I dose KH plus (powder) to increase not more than 2khD after 40 to 50% water change also can. Btw does KH plus contain PO4?

    PO4 is a plant nutrient..why in the world are you removing it? Stick with tap water and stop playing with it. Get your plants to grow well is the best way of removing nitrate and phosphate.

    My plants grow very fast but my PO4 still at high level of 2.0mg/l. I worry high PO4 may leads to algae bloom.

    PO4 will not cause algae growth! It is lack of something that allows algae to grow. When the plant slows down, its when algae will wreck havoc.

    1ppm = 1mg/l
