there was a White , free swimming "thing" , it looked like a very miniature tadpole , it was swimming downwards , then it entered the gravel and disappeared [:0] It aint possible to be a mosquitoe larvae due to that the water surface was rather turbulent . Neither could it be tadpole cos there aint no frogs anywhere

Could this be the Much Feared Ick ?!

If it is ick or a parasite , how would i kill it ?

-Salt ? (but effectiveness not guaranteed ?)

-Copper Safe ? (good for parasite , but also good at killing other inhabitants
    [:0] ?)

-Bomb PP/Hydrogen peroxide ?! (Extreme A.K.A. Nuclear wipeout)

-Throw a Airstone in ? ( i certainly hope it aint free swimming algae [] )

    Tank: 2x1x1 ft
    Lights: 30w FL
    Co2: Present
    Ph: ~6.5-7
    Kh: ~9-10
Description : about 1+ inch of base soil + 1+ inch or so of gravel.

don't think you can "see" an ich, the white spots on fishes are just their cyst.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

hmm..... in that case , any one has any ideas on what it might be ?

    -white
    -rather small
    -free swimming

afaik , planaria doesnt swim freely , it depends more on surfaces to crawl along

would some Salt for a couple of days be a good precautionary measure ?

Likely to be nematodes. I had plenty when I started a new tank, before adding any fish. Plants I had then were from streams in Thailand.
