what is the flow rate of your canister
using eheim 1260 to feed water to chiller, then to skimmer, back to sump
the flow rate is not fast enough
Hi bro and sis,
is it possible to connect eheim external canister to a protein skimmer and then to calsium reactor and denitrator and lastly to chiller ? Hehe sound a bit funny but I were too new to SW. My cabinet was too small to hold a sump filter or do you have any advise ?

thx for your reply does calcium reactor and denitrator is a MUST for coral and fish tank ? or budget like those dosing addivtive is enough ?
calcium reactor is recommended for large sps tank
as for denitrator, not a must, but good to have as it will lower your no3
imo i will rather go for a better skimmer to resolve this issue
oO so you mean those soft coral doesn't need much calcium reactor ? I so glad to hear that cos I dun wan to spend so much money yet as I still beginner.
as mention I got a sump which protein skimmer you recommend I got an old weipro 2011 skimmer cheapy stuff does it work ?
I think the flowrate out of the cansister will not be strong enough for your skimmer to work properly. The flowrate of the skimmer should be high enough for the skimmer to work well. The denitrator also needs quite a high flowrate to work well. The cansister can be connected to the chiiler.
So in conclusion you will need 3 pumps, one cansister and chilller, the 2nd for ths skimmer and the 3 for the denitrator. Good Luck.
