Just found that several of my cardinals have white spots on them. Should i move all the fishes to a treatment tank, or should use white spot solution in the planted tank itself? I wonder if the medication will have any effect on the plants. Last question, what brand of "clear" white spot solution should i use?

I think it will be better to treat the whole tank. Medication usually does a certain degree of damages to plant health. Try adding salt and maintaining the temperature around 29-30. Do more water change (2-3 days depending on tank size) and the white should be under control in a week time.
