    Hi,
    I got 2 set of light which total up to be 364watts.My tank is 5x2x2.I wonder izzt enough to keep high light plant.

    Yeah, another doubt,I place 1 of the set of light( 55wattx4 ) on top of the hood,I wonder izzt too far away from the plant.[]

    if u 300+ Watts of lights are from FL tubes , i guess it aint enuff , either u change em to PL , or maybe add more FL lights [:] one thing about FL is , from what i've learnt from the forums , the penetration is rather weak , so plants , might not be getting the full amount .

    but after all .... i'm a newbie [] i might be wrong

    If you intend to keep high light plants, then your opinon is either MH or PL. do a search in the equipment section, prices of both (MH and PL) is almost similar, though I would recommend MH but the problem will be the heat emitted from the light

    Hi guys,
    I forget to mention,I got 2 set of light,1 of them is a 55x4watts PL and the other is a 36x4watts PL.Going to the same Q,izzt enough to keep high light plant and is my 55x4 light too far away from my plant?

    just do the sum, 5x2x2 is around 153 USgal, you have a total wattage of 364watts, so you have around 2.4 per gallon which is sufficient to some high light plants, note also the placement of the lights is very important to provide a total coverage of the tank

    Hi,
    I notice my plant is not bubbling,izzt due to some factors.I did not take the measurement of the KH or PH.The temp is ard 29.I use 3 bag of jbl fert(7mth old) and a $10 pck of Ocean free root monster(4mth old).Liquid fert is not added.

    bubbling relates to the tank condition and other factors (Co2 fertilization)
    you can fill up the tank info. and we can better advise you
