    Hello all!
I have a new post up about a few of my favorite Characin, the Hyphessobrycon genus! Click on the banner-link below to head on over to the blog for the whole post!
    Here's a taste!

    Hyphessobrycon copelandi
These beauties may not have the most amazing colors, but their subtle red/violet colors are made up with their fantastic finnage, the males of this species have a tendency to spar quite a bit. In my opinion the white lining on the fins highlight their most beautiful feature.

Re: New post on Hyphessobrycon Tetras!

    Hi,

this is a beautiful photo of a very beautiful fish, but never H, copelandi.

I am very interested to find out from which source you received this specimen(s)? As I have collected almost every tetra in South and Central America (as well as in Africa), but I never saw this one.

Please let me know, all the very best,

    always

PPS: if you have my book Bleher's Discus volume 1, you can see how H. copelandi looks like, colelcted at its type locality, on page 485, photo 10
    Best regards,
    Heiko Bleher
