all the rotala that you stated will grow quickly.
also, macrandra will be difficult but so is ludwigia sp.
if you want slow, can try Alternanthera reineckii. the more you trim,
the slower it gets.
Hi, need your help/opinion to help choosing plant.
I need some red plant to fill up the mid ground.
Can you advice on these 4 plant, which should I choose,
1. Rotala Macrandra
2. Rotala Indica
3. Ludwigia Sp
4. Rotala Wallichii 'long leave'
My selection criteria are
1. I like red, easier to get red better.
2. I don't like fast grower, to calibrate, I don't like Bacopa as it need triming every week, always stick out of water.
3. Not too difficult to grow like Tonina sp.
Thanks

do not do to others what you will not want done to you!
be kind! =)
since one of your criteria is turning red easier, then ludwigia sp. wouldn't fit your bill. Perharps you can consider gratiola sp. easier than E. stellata, still fast growing but which stemmed plant isnt
I find Alternanthera reineckii too slow (target from algae eg. bba), though its alway stay red.
Can you show pics link please, cannot find in the handbook from 'ORIENTAL'.

Where can get this plant?
When you mentioned mid ground, may I know what is growing behind?....on this part, I'll go with the indica......as it will not block off the back
