Hi, Just wanted to check if I have a tank of only Java/Taiwan and Christmas moss...does it need Co2 and a lot of Light for it to grow well? I have a 2ft x 2ft x 2ft tank.

    Light: low to moderate

    CO2: needed to grow well

Most important is to give it low water temperature.
    preferably 28degree and below.
If not, some may turn black-brown.

lighting and CO2 would speed up growth when plants photosynthesis. When so, plants would also use up nutrients.

    Hi Bulldog

you have to be careful with the term low-light.....it basically mean that the plant is able to tolerate low wattage of 2.....however, if you want beautiful growth, treat them like you would with any other plants......

Take a look at Ah Tan and Gan's tank.....they have beautifully growing moss under direct MH lightings.....

    bulldog,

Go to www.killies.com under miscellaneous, faq. There is a good illustration how you can do it. Timebomb, the site owner, is a long time moss keeper.

    Best regards,
