I remember seeing some really short tenellus at Tampines.

Is this type of tenellus available anywhere in the east?

    Thanks...

The height of E. tenellus depends on the lighting. The leaf length ranges from 2 to 6 inches.

Those E. tenellus found in the LFS are most of the time emmersed form. After being planted, they will shed the emmersed leaves and grow longer and slightly darker submersed leaves.

    Really?
    i didn't know that...
i thought there was a shorter variant...
how about the ones at Nature Aquarium?
is that really due to lighting?

I know it got to do with light. and the emersed form is a bit different from the submersed form..

The normal tenellus have leaves abt the length of 1.5-2in. I remember the tenellus leaves is abt 1in. The leaves appear to be darker in colour.

Thought it could be some var of tenellus. Anyone remember seeing it at the shop at tampines 201? Not the K&K aquarium. Not sure this fish shop is still around.

Maybe it's just due to light.

My tenellus have 7 inch long leaves. In the morning time some indirect sunlight will reach the tank and the leaves will stand up, until the lights are one then back to normal.
