    Green thread like on Us Fissiden

    Bro i need advice tips and also guidiance.

    I currently have few mesh of US fissiden and i saw like a green fine thread ont he fissiden is this normal or this is algae? if it algae how do i remove them?

    Please advise.

    It's hair/thread algae..
    Weekly manual removal or 20% excel mix with 80% tank water and soak for 10mins.. Don't exceed the duration or the fissiden will be killed as well... But try to avoid the excel dosage if possible.. Don't risk killing the fissiden..

    Gotten myself some red nose shrimps and they work wonders on hair algae (and some twig like plants too )

    Well.. It looks like a pinochio shrimp with a pointed 'nose'...
    Size wise a little close to a small size Yamato at 2.5-3cm...

    Take out your mesh and give it a good brush using toothbrush.

    happen to chance upon this thread which I also am facing the same problem. Will use this method. Hope it works

    anyone have any sucess?

    I am also facing the same problem and I hope the red nose shrimps mentioned here would work. I have sakura and yamoto shrimps but they don't eat these thread algae

    Actually I did not feed my shrimps, but I don't see them eating those hair algae.
