Hello everyone, this is my 1st attempt at an iwagumi scape. I'm going to share the setup first, the scape will begin once my order arrive next week. Pictures will be shared as well as please bear with me & feel free to give valuable comments.

    Tank: ANS OptiCube 60M (60x30x36cm)
    Lighting: Aquazonic T5 4 x 24w (Changed to Osram 6500K tube)
Filtration: Eheim Ecco 2232 (Eheim Mech & Substrat Pro)
Chiller: Hailea 100A 1/20 HP, ADA Clear Thermometer (6mm)
Co2: NA 2L Cylinder with Solenoid, Sera Co2 Reactor, ADA Drop Checker
Substrate: ADA Bacter 100, Clear Super, Tourmaline BC, Penac P, Penac W, Power Sand Special, Amazonia Aquasoil (Normal & Powder)
    Material: ADA Kurokinryu Stones

I have only decided that the foreground plant will be HC but haven't really decide on the background. May even change the co2 reactor for a diffuser so there are many tube connections which i don't really like. Still thinking about lily pipes but may shelf the idea for now due to budget constraint.

Well, i have a week to think about it so i will update everyone once the project has started!

    Re: Iwagumi Journal

My apologies for the extremely overdue update, been swamped by work & the festive season. Understand this was supposed to be a journal but due to unforeseen circumstances, i will only be able to share with you the end product.

    Shooters Spreading

    Hemianthus Callitrichoides

Photos are taken with a phone camera, hopefully will share more quality photos for the future updates. Sorry for the unsightly algae as well, my otos & shrimps are currently working overtime on it.

I think the left rock seems to be cut at a right angle. Looks unatural to me. Your hc seems to grow very well. Overall a good job.

    Re: Iwagumi Journal

Thanks! I do agree that the rock on the left is kinda out of place but at this point i didn't want to disturb the scape anymore. This is sort of my experimental & learning tank so will look forward to another project in the future.
