Just added some mollies today... Seem like they have a hard time... My Golden Algae eater which only chase it own kind start chasing them! I see that Fish are not colour blind! hahaha!

Anyway I kind of worry about them mollies, who are hiding behind some large Echinodorus as I type. Will they be fine after a few days?

hi sorry about hijacking the thread, but just want to ask if Mollies do ok in pure freshwater cos heard that they do best in brackish water.

Also, anyone spotted any golden sailfin mollies in any LFS ? thought a pair of them would be nice

Better remove the algae eater b4 it kill yr molly. Try to feed yr molly with some veggie.
Take care of your water, and your water will take care of your fish. Clear water may not be clean water. To obtain good water quality, nothing beat water change.

Nowadays, most of the mollies, guppies and platy are bred commercially in pure freshwater. They are already accustomed to freshwater already. I breed my own swordtail and platy in freshwater
