looks like the Nymphea rubra.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Yup... looks like Nymphea sp. rubra. Seems to be suffering from some defficiency.

According to what I've read so far, red tiger lotus (Nymphaea zenkeri 'Red') can only be propagated by seeds and runners.

I bought a lotus plant from Sam Yick at $18. I pay for its' big-sized type. The different is that it has wavy/nimper leaf texture and varying red. Now, it propogated and I have 2 plantlets.
Your lotus does not do well. Try putting 1 to 2 Horti Tabs UNDER the roots.
