How to plant hair grass properly in gravel?

Can anyone tell me how to plant hair grass in black gravel soil for crs properly as they cant seem to stay in the gravel and keeps floating around.Help!!

Hi, I am very new to planting hairgrass as well, don't mind if I share what worked for me. YMMV.

What I did was to bunch them up like 3-5 plantlets per bunch and use the metal tweezer to grab the entire bunch. I will the shove the bunch really deep into the gravel and slowly ease the tweezer out. The bunch is almost half buried in the gravel.

So far the hairgrass declare war on the other plants and invaded 100% of the real estate except the areas I barricaded with driftwood and moss balls. Soon they will be climbing over the driftwood and try to sneak into the safe zone.

Plunge the tweezer in at a 45 degree angle, then whilst in the soil, slowly release the tweezer. This lodges the hairgrass in the soil.

try to lower your water to near the gravel height if can...
plant the hairgrass then fill with water again...
find that low water level is easier to plant.

Need to add co2 tablet for the hairgrass?Need alot of light?

CO2 tablet don't work. I just tried it. Hair grass can be a low or high light plant. I think initially if you want to see the effect faster, you will need to provide CO2 in so form, either CO2 tank or dose something like Seachem Flourish Excel.

I started dosing Seachem Flourish and Florish Excel and my "botak" plant grew new leafs to about 5mm in less than 1 week. If your tank is small, I don't think you will want it to grow so fast or else you will need to trim it often. Just my 2 cents.
