I have mosquito rasboras with my cherries and have tons of baby cherries in the tank, virtually no predation that I can tell. I think that with Rummynose you'll have SOME predation simply because their mouths are big enough to eat the little ones (so they WILL eat the little ones if they're caught in the open), but I've never tried it so I can't say how much.

If you don't care about the cherries reproducing, Rummynose and other tetras of similar size are great.

i do keep rummynose and cardinal together with shrimps for algae issue...i would say if you dont mind not having reproduction, it would be fine...but if u want to breed, u can have galaxy the last i put 3 galaxy in my shrimp tank(experimental) although the shrimp did not make it for long but it was due to water parameter and not of the fish as the shrimp corpse are lying around not eaten up by the fish but by other shrimps

So galaxy definitely is safe and bdement tested and proven mosquito rasboras so u have 2 safe options now
