    Hi all,
i am keeping a pair of Red Gourami. And one of them is building a big bubble nest at the corner of my tank.
Does anyone knows how long will the nest last? cos the Gourami keep bitting leaves of my plants to build its nest.

    Anyone have the same expericence?

    thanx

Red gourami? Is it the honey red dwarf? Anyway, the nest will last as long as the male tends to it. Only males built the nest. Unless a female comes along, he'll stop tending to it and the nest will slowly disintegrate. Female gouramies are generally hard to find in Singapore. Whatever the species is. Exceptions do occur of course, species to species.

One of my dwarf gourami used to do that even with the absence of a female. It will do that on and off. Each time the nest last a few days. After a couple of weeks, it will start the routine again in biting off pieces of plants to make its nest again.

After a while, I decided to give them away.
