sorry vinz, cant help u.. me using off-shelf fertilizer
Hey guys,
I'm considering adding K and Mg to my tanks. I know I can get SeaChem K and Mg at LFS. I know some of you (notably, Jacian) use K2SO4 and Mg2SO4. My questions then are:
1. Where can I get hold of K2SO4 and Mg2SO4?
2. How much and how to use them?
I'll use Seachem first to see the outcome, but if successful, I might switch to the chems for the long run if they are not too inconvenient.
Thanks.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

K2S04 can get from Dr Mallick (tel: 2918153, 294657.
An alternative for K is Lo-Salt (66% KCL, 33% NaCl) sold in NTUC. I prefer Lo-Salt for dosing as they dissove better than K2SO4.
MgSO4.7H2O is sold as Epsom Salts in Guardian Pharmacy.
For suggested dosing, can read at http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_p...osage_calc.htm
Cheers!

Nope... no such SeaChem Mg found on their online catalog of planted tank products.
Anyway, DEA, how did you determine the dosage of Flourish K for your tank? I just got a bottle last night and just started trial and error.
