wow bro..u got plans to get this patented?hehe[]
Hi all
This is the photo of my new dosage pumps unit Photo here. There are 4 DIY glass bottles 2.5 lt each that will contain the first K2SO4, the second KNO3, The third traces and PH2SO4 and the forth iron gluconate, all this will be diluted in 2 lt H2O each and will be dosed in specific concentrations daily this gives an absolute control on the dosing of each component separately. The pumps dose through the timers in increments of minimum 1 min which sends about 7 ml of liquid. After my experience of 1 1/2 years of using dosing pumps and the elimination of my top new leaves curling problem through the elimination of excessive K dosing, I am really confident to use this system in my new 130 gal tank to be in the next 1 1/2 months. All bottles will be covered with a plywood cover to blacken them and eliminate the oxidation of iron traces.
And now a question. What could I use to eliminate the creation of bacteria cultures and such stuff in the bottles (Small amounts of slime is created in a black bottle that I use right now in another aquarium, all the components are togethere in on bottle there), in the pmdd recipe there was a reference to the use of a bit of hydrochloric acid added to the solution. Would you agree on the use of it? Would it made some reaction with the above chemicals? In what concentrations would you use it? Would you suggest some other chemical instead of hydrochloric acid?

freemann, thats what I call a DIY project... any drawings/pictures to show how u did the whole thing?
Maybe you can sterlise the equipment before you use them and also use boiled water instead of tap water?
How much it cost to build it?
Where could we find the type of pump that Freeman is using here in SG?

well, I'm not sure what effect it would have on fish but food preservatives such as sodium benzoate can be found at confectionary supply shops
Thanks for all your replies. Again as I said and before I like the spirit of this board people are interested and humble enough to learn out of other peoples experiences (maybe it is an Asian spirit, if it is, I really like it).
Ok here is the link for all your questions it took me sometime to compile this:

Loupgarou notice this concerning benzoate :
http://www.soybean.com/sb.htm
and I quote from it: Sodium benzoate, like potassium sorbate, is effective only under acidic conditions (preferably less than pH 3.6). This is a problem isn't it?
This is amazing.

Thank you very much.
